RELEASE OF PURCHASES TO SHIPPER BY BUYER

Items will not be released without authorization from the invoice buyer. In order for items to be released, all payments (including storage fees) must be received and cleared. Please be sure that your shipper understands that J. Garrett Auctioneers does not package any items. J. Garrett Auctioneers assumes no responsibility of error or omission by any shipper or third party. Any items damaged or lost once leaving the dock of J. Garrett Auctioneers will be no fault of J. Garrett Auctioneers or any of its staff. J. Garrett Auctioneers will not be held liable for packing, wrapping, or loading of any items onto trucks. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to contract with an insured and reputable shipper for all packing and transport needs. We do not recommend any one shipper over another. Shippers must arrive with a completed bill of lading in order for items to leave our dock, whereas they become the liability and property of purchaser.

UPDATED FOR 2020: DUE TO COVID-19, YOU OR YOUR SHIPPER MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR PICKUP AT LEAST 2 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVING AT OUR GALLERY. PICKUP APPOINTMENT SLOTS ARE AVAILABLE FROM 10AM-2PM MONDAY-FRIDAY ONLY, NEVER WEEKENDS OR AFTER 2PM. ITEMS WILL BE PLACED ON OUR DOCK FOR YOU OR YOUR SHIPPER TO PACK AND LOAD. OUR STAFF WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO HELP PACK OR LOAD, DUE TO DISTANCING GUIDELINES. YOU OR YOUR SHIPPER MUST BRING YOUR OWN HELP AS WELL AS PACKING MATERIALS. MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ENTERING THE DOCK AREA. NO EXCEPTIONS. IF YOUR SHIPPER ARRIVES TO OUR DOCK WITHOUT HELP OR PROPER PROTECTION, EXPECT JGA TO RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT. EXPECT TO WAIT IN LINE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. THERE WILL BE NO ENTRY INTO OUR GALLERY BEYOND THE OPEN-AIR DOCK. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO COMMUNICATE ADHERENCE OF THESE REQUIREMENTS TO YOUR CHOSEN SHIPPER.

ABSOLUTELY NO PICKUP DURING THE 4 DAYS OF AUCTION SEPTEMBER 12th THROUGH 15th. ALL ITEMS MUST BE PAID FOR AND PICKED UP WITHIN 10 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER THE LAST DAY OF THE AUCTION PERIOD. After 15 business days post-sale, any remaining items will be moved into storage – NO EXCEPTIONS.┬áThe Buyer will be charged $10 Per Lot / Per Day beginning on that day. Buyers will be 100% responsible for storage fees incurred with J. Garrett Auctioneers. We are no longer able to be flexible with storage of items and associated fees due to Covid-19.

A completed release is your agreement and commitment to all payments, pickup, and release of J. Garrett Auctioneers. Without an appointment we do not guarantee the gallery/warehouse will be staffed or open. The pickup address for all auction items:
